Step 2 Get other people's perspectives
Step 3 Learning from "mistakes"
Step 4 Take a
deep breath – learning about you is not always comfortable, if you are
successful you will find out things you weren't expecting – you will get bad
news and new news but it's the development feedback that will give you the
biggest source of personal improvement. People's view of your effectiveness
will improve more when they see you work on developmental feedback as they
appreciate you have committed to improve even when it is difficult. For you; it
will open an ongoing curiosity about your performance and an openness to
feedback. If you role model seeking and accepting feedback and acting upon it
you are also making it easier for people to accept the feedback that you to
provide them which is important for leadership role modeling.
